‘Let’s create a new type of conversation… a Cockburn’s conversation’

 

This was an interesting pitch. Cockburn’s is big in the world of port, but it’s kind of just the standard, go-to choice. Something you crack open at Christmas and then forget about. We had to find a way to tell people what a ‘port moment’ was.

There’s something interesting about when the port comes out, it’s usually last thing, a bit of a finish the night off drink. What we found interesting about that is it’s usually when you get onto talking about funny, left-of-centre stuff. You’ve used up your chat about the kids or the new car.

That’s where “That’s a Cockburn’s conversation” came about. From an art direction point of view I wanted to make them smart, simple and distinctive.

(As always it's nice to push the idea, so I did some simple digital and experiential work as well).
